Kelo-cote Scar Treatment in Vancouver
Dr. David K Ward
Vancouver plastic surgeon Dr. David Ward now offers a revolutionary medicated solution to help his patients improve the appearance of their incisions after surgery. Please read the paragraphs below to learn more about Kelo-cote.
What Is Kelo-cote?
Comprised of 100 percent silicone, Kelo-cote is designed to reduce old scars and stretch marks and prevent abnormal scarring. It is a topical formula that hydrates the incision area, protects the scar surface from external damage and has a modulation effect on the cells that promote scar growth. Kelo-cote can be used on new incisions to reduce redness and discoloration, soften and flatten raised incision lines and relieve itching and discomfort in the treated area.
Kelo-cote is a quick-drying formula that is applied daily on the surface of the incision line to enhance its appearance and promote proper healing. Optimal results are achieved within a few weeks. Best results are achieved when Kelo-cote is used under medical supervision.
Kelo-cote can be used on a wide range of old scars, including:
- Plastic surgery scars
- Burn scars
- Traumatic injury scars
- Keloid scars
- Hypertrophic scars
