Body Contouring Procedures
Dr. David Ward, an experienced surgeon, offers a range of procedures designed to enhance areas of the body that are resistant to diet and exercise efforts, including liposuction, tummy tuck, mommy makeover and body lift procedures. These procedures target common areas that are prone to accumulating fat or developing lax skin.
Liposuction can surgically remove stubborn fat pockets from the abdomen-waist (“muffin top”), hips, thighs, buttocks, upper arms or neck. During liposuction surgery, Dr. Ward uses a small, thin tube to break up localized fat deposits and gently remove them from the body.
Vaser liposuction is a type of liposuction technology that incorporates ultrasound energy to sculpt the body. Dr. Ward directs ultrasound waves at the treatment area to break up the fatty deposits in a minimally invasive way before gently suctioning them from the body.
Tummy tuck flattens and firms the abdominal area. During tummy tuck, Dr. Ward removes excess skin and fat, repairs separated/weakened abdominal muscles and tightens the remaining skin. The result is a slimmer abdominal contour.
Mommy makeover combines procedures to improve areas of the body that have changed with pregnancy and nursing — most commonly the breasts and abdomen. The most frequently requested mommy makeover combination is breast augmentation and/or lift coupled with tummy tuck surgery.
Thigh-buttock lift improves the appearance of saggy buttocks or upper thighs. During the procedure, Dr. Ward removes excess fat and skin and lays the remaining skin taut for a tighter and flatter result.
Arm lift improves the look of loose, flabby upper arms. Dr. Ward removes excess skin and fat and re-drapes the remaining skin more tightly around the arm’s contour.
Fat grafting allows removal of fat from one area of your body (e.g., the abdomen or thighs) that can then be injected into another area that needs healthy, natural-looking volume.
